"Francis Michael Brown, 78, a resident of Silver Springs, died Monday in a Reno hospital.
"A native of Haines, Oregon, he was born October 21, 1898.
"Survivors include his widow, Florence, and daughter, Frances L. Wood, both of Silver Springs; son, Monty of Weimar, California; and brother, William of Baker, Oregon.
"A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mormon Church in Fernley.
"Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Eastlawn Cemetery, Sacramento.
"Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary."
