ALMA BROWN FUNERAL IS FRIDAY
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday for Alma L. Brown, a retired school teacher who died Tuesday, November 19, 1974 at age 70.
Mrs. Brown, born in Artois, California, was a graduate of Chico State College. About 1932, she became a teacher in Colusa County and in 1937 moved to Sacramento to be an instructor at several schools, including Fruitridge and Ethel I. Baker elementaries. She retied in 1964.
A member of the California National and Retired Teachers Associations, she is survived by children, Richard L. Brown of Sacramento, and Faye Marie Lightburn of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; brothers and sisters, Lloyd Dennis of Willows, Valera Miller of Covina, Marian Sibyl Mitchell of Vallejo, Rae Bandy of Sacramento, Beatrice Shanke of Santa Cruz, Esther Sills of Yuba City, Charles and Lincoln Dennis and Wilma Johnson and Hattie Marker, all of Maxwell, California; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be in Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 1701 Marysville Blvd. with interment in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park. Pall bearers are: Tim Dennis, Jim Dennis, Steve Dennis, Kevin Dennis, Kenneth Sills, and Robert Johnson, all nephews of the deceased.
