Ada Brown was born in Bighton Hampshire in 1886. She was the daughter of Henry and Fanny Lansley. She was baptized in Bighton on 21 October 1886. There is a discrepancy in the baptism records as her parents were given as James and Eliza Lansley who were in fact her Aunt and Uncle. She gave birth to her son Ernest Lansley in 1902 in Avington Hampshire, sadly he died in 1904. She married George Brown in Avington on 6 October 1906. They had a daughter Constance Dora Brown born in 1908. George Brown was killed in Action in the Somme France on 29 April 1915. Their son Charles George Brown was born in Winchester in 1915. Ada was an epileptic and was admitted to The Assylum, Knowle, Fareham Hampshire where she died in 1919 of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Ada's burial service was conducted at St John's Church Winchester as her Mother lived in the same road. Her mother and sister had been caring for her children whilst she was in the assylum. Ada was buried on 1 January 1920.
