ALEXANDER RITES HELD

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Brown Alexander, 86, who died yesterday morning at her home on Sharon View Road, were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Douglas and Sing Chapel. The Rev. Paul L. Grier of Sardis ARP Church officiated, and interment was in the Providence Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Serving as pall bearers were Dr. Calvin Rea, Howard White, Bonner Hood, Thad Grier, J.C. Brown, and Strong McGinnis.

Mrs. Alexander was born March 15, 1862, the daughter of the late James Calvin Brown and Sarah Brown, early settlers of Sharon Township.

Surviving Mrs. Alexander are one daughter, Mrs. P.W. Stewart; one son, C.B. Alexander, both of Charlotte; one brother, W.R. Brown of McIntosh, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Miss Gene Denton, Mrs. Wyatt Gordon, and B. Tate Denton Jr., all of Charlotte.
