February 26, 1920 - November 7, 2015
Resided in Pleasant View, Utah

Dale Thomas Browning, a man of charity and honor, completed his mission in this life and returned to a joyful reunion with family and friends on November 7, 2015 in Ogden, Utah, due to the wear and tear of 95 years.

Dale was born in Hyrum, Utah, the son of Thomas Samuel Browning and Dora Petersen Browning and grew up in Hyrum and Ogden. He graduated from law school at 22 and enlisted in the Army that same day as WWII had recently broken out. He attained the rank of captain.

At the conclusion of the war, he commenced a legal practice in Ogden that lasted over 50 years. He was active in civic and political affairs, among those: Chairman of the Institutional Council at WSU, Board of Trustees of Dee Hospital, a member of the Utah State Liquor Commission, Sons of Utah Pioneers and 50 years in Kiwanis.

As an active and unwavering member of the LDS faith, he was blessed with positions of Bishop, Stake President, Temple Sealer, and was a Patriarch for 49 years.

He married Jean Wade Browning in 1944 and had a wonderful, loving relationship. She preceded him in death in 1998 and he has eagerly looked forward to being reunited with her and his ancestors.

Dale loved the LDS Church, his family, fishing, nature, music, laughing and conversing with and helping others.

Survivors are: his sister, Beth Parker, his children and their spouses, Christine Richards (Stephen), Claudia Wallace (Robert), Thomas Browning (Diane), Carol Baris (Ron), Betty Jean Browning, Nancy Smith (David), 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Pleasant View 12th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Drive. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and prior to services from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Dale would have liked for you to do something kind for someone this week.
