Charles (Bus) William Bruan, Sr, 76 of Hamersville, Ohio died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 at his residence. Bus was a farmer and WWII veteran. He was born May 4, 1927 in Ash Ridge, Ohio, the son of the late Charles Langmond and Ethel Linderman Bruan. He was also preceeded in death by his stepmother, Edna Wamsley Bruan, one brother, Ralph and two sisters, Louise Yeats and Mary Winkle. Bus is survived by his wife, Helen Sentney Bruan, 4 sons, Bob (Catherine); Bill (Tammy); Ronnie (Barbara); Roger (Annette) his 5 daughters, Sunny (Tony)Evans; Sue Graham; Shari (Greg)Tracy; Alisha (Mike)Clarkson; Jennifer (Lonnie) Freeman. 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren' one sister, Nellie Frazier, and several nieces and nephews.

No family ever worked harder or played harder then this brood! the leader of high jinxes being "Bus." The Bruan cookouts were famous for food and fun --if "Bus" invited you to a hayride, look out--you were put on a wagon and picking up hay.

In his last days, he never went to a nursing home, he had the finest care ever, his devoted wife, Helen and his family saw to that. His legacy is his wonderful family. His spirit lives on through those children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
