Mary Sophia Brunt Bauer, age 89, of Kimberling City, MO, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, in James River Care and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, MO. She was born August 29, 1922, in Cologne, Germany. Mary was a hair stylist for 35 years. She loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. Mary and Calvin spent many years in the Hillsboro and Arnold, MO. area raising their family before retiring to the Kimberling City, Mo. area. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bauer, and her parents Katarina and Norman Brunt. She is survived by her brother Norman Brunt and his wife Ella May Brunt, her son Grenville Rudd and his wife Eileen Brunt, her daughter Sandra Barbre and her husband William Barbre, her grandchildren Heather and Jeremy Blades, April Barbre, Jeff and Annie Newman, Gretchen Rudd, Andrew and Gina Vilius, and Grenville Rudd, Jr., as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Mary will be interred with her loving husband Calvin at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted in Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
