Agnes "Pauline" Pendleton Brunton, 83, of rural Lafayette, died at 6:14 AM Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, in Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital. Born July 25, 1915, in Lafayette, she was a graduate of Wea High School and attended Indiana Business College. She married Howard L. Pendleton on January 29, 1936; he died Oct. 9, 1993.

Mrs. Brunton, who had spent the past year living in Fort Wayne with her son, retired in 1976 from Tippecanoe School Corp. She was the cafeteria manager at Wea High School from 1950 to 1976. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Wea Willing Workers, Wea Home Economics Club, Rosary Study Club, and Edgewood Club.

Surviving are her son, William C. Brunton (wife Emily) of Fort Wayne; one sister, Laverne (Mrs. Warren) Biggs of Sun City, CA; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur A. Pendleton.
