John A. Buber, age 74 of Middlefield, passed away Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014 at Burton Health Care Center.

He was born on July 5, 1940 in West Farmington, son of John and Edna (Finch) Buber.

A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Middlefield High School in 1958. John was a U.S. Army veteran who served 1963-1965. He married Norma Waterhouse September 5, 1964. They were married 49 loving years. He retired in February, 2007 from Structural Fibers in Chardon, where he was a Draftsman for 48 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Middlefield and a former member of Middlefield Jaycees. His hobbies included gardening, watching and feeding the birds, and tinkering around the house.

He will be missed by his friends and family; his beloved wife Norma Buber; three children, Mark (Debbie) Buber of Chesterland, Denise (Jr.) Walsh of Huntsburg, and Kimberly Vondrasek of Middlefield; five grandchildren, Matthew, Anthony, and Emily Vondrasek, Elizabeth Walsh, and John Robert Buber; one great granddaughter Larain Laura-Lynn; two sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Lucht of Delaware and Dolly Disien of Windsor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother in law, David Disien.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave. in Middlefield with a luncheon to follow. Pastor Jill Scott will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 207, Middlefield, OH 44062.
