Mrs. Anna Bateson, Minoa's Oldest
Services for Mrs. Anna Bucher Bateson, 90, of 26 Marie Drive, Kirkville, who died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Russell H. Schepp Funeral Home, Minoa, and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 109 East Ave.
The oldest living native of the Minoa area, Mrs. Bateson was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Minoa, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Minoa Golden Age Club and the American Legion Auxiliary of Minoa.
Surviving are a son, Wesley of Whitesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Arlene Neyhart of Fremont and Mrs. Marie Tobin of Kirkville; two brothers, Joseph Bucher of Rochester and Jacob Bucher of Minoa; four sisters, Mrs. Hilda Greiner and Mrs. Imelda Myers, both of Minoa, Mrs. Gertrude Weidman of Syracuse and Mrs. Agnes Waldkrisch of Daytona Beach, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
