Xaverius Buck was born to Joseph Antonius Buck and Regina (Wursthorn) Buck on 8 Mar 1830 in Bad Durrheim, Villingen, Baden, Deutschland. He immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana, on 20 May 1851 on the Ship John Hancock at the age of 21. His occupation was a baker. He died in 1853 during the yellow fever epidemic in New Orleans.
