Final rites for Burnell Burch, 72, of Rt. 2, Brookhaven were held January 17 at 2 p.m. in Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Dr. Robert E. Self conducted the service. Mr. Burch died January 16, 1988 in King's Daughters Hospital.
Mr. Burch was a native of McCall Creek and was a retired welder with Chevron Oil Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Augustine Burch of Rt. 2, Brookhaven, his daughter Mrs. Steve (Vicky) Swalm of Brookhaven; his son, Randy Burch of Agricola, Miss.; four grand-children, Kimberly Burch of Agricola, Trey, Meredith and Christi Swalm of Brookhaven; his sister, Mrs. Ira Monroe of Hattiesburg; his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Mayse of Hattiesburg.
