Mrs. Fred "Speedy" (Ruth Mary Burchard) Augustine, 91, of Decatur died 12:30 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 20, 1986) in her home.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Mrs. Augustine was born in Decatur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Burchard. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and a 60-year member of Royal Neighbors of America. She married Fred "Speedy" Augustine in 1913. He died in 1966 (1976).
Surviving are her daughter, Beatrice Rogers of Tucson, Ariz.: four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a sister.
