Spouse of Bernard David Bruttig for 34 years. Was the first daughter of Edmund F.and Blanche Burke of Los Angeles, CA. Mother to Chris,Burt and Diana Bruttig of Atherton, CA. Older sister to Me-Phylis Yarnell. My sister Dawn graduated from Immaculate Heart HS in L.A.,CA. in 1942 and was a USC art student in the late 1940's. Dawn was a staunch anti-communist Republican throughout her life.Living with her family in the hills above LA and then moving to Atherton,CA. in the early 1960's.In the mid 1980's moved to Seattle, WA. and then to Sacramento,CA. After the death of her first husband Bernard in 1985 in Sacramento,CA, she moved back to the Menlo Park,CA.area. In 1987, she was married to Allan P. Bruttig, brother of her first spouse Bernard and returned to LA,Ca.until he died of natural causes in 1994.According to my sister Dawn's later investigating estate attorney, in the late 1990's while Dawn lived in Santa Rosa,CA. area, Dawn became affected by Alzheimer's dementia. During her mental decline,her 1.5 million dollar estate slated for her care and her 3 children and her 7 grandchildren was drained to zero by her then daughter-in-law Dana, who was married to Dawn's oldest son. She had gained sole control of power of attorney of my sister's estate by getting my sister Dawn to appoint her sole financial controller of the estate without anyone's knowledge. Due to Dana's sheer greed, mismanagement, total lack of honesty and ethics and elder abuse, she used her mother-in-law's financial estate and bank accounts as her own personal ATM for her own personal use. She represented this lavish lifestyle to her own spouse and family as her salary from being involved in a business where ultimately she was fired from the company for being a liar and dishonest. By this time, the daughter-in-law had drained all of Dawn's accounts including my sister Dawn's home equity by signing her name on the loan so she could buy herself cars,finance her own home's extreme improvements in Healdsburg,CA., plant vineyards, throw outlandish, lavish parties for hundreds of people and travel first class all over the world while Dawn lay in bed affected by Alzheimer's. Dawn died virtually in poverty in Gridely,CA. after the daughter-in-law drained all of the money including ALL of the grandchildren's college fund accounts that were 50K each for each child. When the money ran out and the crime was uncovered, the daughter-in-law abandoned Dawn to a welfare Alzheimer convelescent facility in 1999.Dawn died in 2004 in Gridley,CA.The ex-daughter-in-law fled from CA.to the midwest to evade prosecution. Dawn was buried next to her parents at New Calvary in L.A.
