She was born March 11, 1917 in Charleston, Mississippi to the late James Rufus and Janie (Sullivan) Burnet. She had worked for many years in accounts collections at Deposit Guaranty National Bank in Jackson, MS. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston.
On June 15, 1935 she was united in marriage to Willard W. Bryan in Clarksdale and he proceeded in death in 1957. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Burnet and one sister, Ada Mae Milstead.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Jack and Peggy Bryan of Mendenhall, MS and by one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jim Donovan of Sikeston, MO., and by two sisters, Katherine Brennan of South Haven, MS and Ollie Thompson of Nashville, TN. 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation was from 11 am until 1 pm, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. Graveside services followed at 1:30 pm at Lakewood Memorial Park
