Vicki Burnett-Bridgewater of Lockeford, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2014, at the age of 55. Mrs. Burnett-Bridgewater was born in Lodi, California on January 22, 1959.
She was born to a Fifth Generation California farming family. Vicki grew up on the family ranch raising cattle and sheep as well as fruits and vegetables. She was also a member of the local 4-H Club. While she was in high school, she worked for several local restaurants. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1977, and went on to attend Humphreys College. She graduated in 1979.
After graduating from college, Vicki worked for San Joaquin County from 1979 to 1992. She worked as a secretary in the District Attorney's Office, the Administrator's Office and the Board of Supervisors' Office. During this time, she met and married her husband. After working for the County for 12 years, she left to start a family.

After her son started school in 1998, she went to work for Lodi Unified School District as a Yard Duty Official and Cafeteria Helper at Clements Elementary School. Two years later, she became the Librarian for the Lockeford and Clements Elementary Schools until she left in 2004 to start a business.
Vicki owned and operated Elegant Illusions, a ladies consignment store, from 2004 until 2011. After the deaths of her husband and father, Vicki decided it was time to retire and spend more time with her son and family.
She was a wonderful woman who was always reliable, and willing to help others in need. Also, she was a proud member of the Lodi Eagles Club. She is survived by After her son started school in 1998, she went to work for Lodi Unified School District as a Yard Duty Official and Cafeteria Helper at Clements Elementary School. A celebration of life will follow later in the year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vicki's name to Hospice of San Joaquin.
