Burns, Aline Ermine Worsham, passed away on the morning of August 18, 2012. Born on December 24, 1916 in Verda (Grant Parish) Louisiana, Aline and husband Charles "Charlie" Burns arrived in California in the mid-1940s. The family lived in Long Beach and moved to Garden Grove, Orange County in 1970. Aline was Valedictorian of her high school class and a graduate of Northwestern Louisiana Teacher's College. Aline was a strong woman, with a beautiful smile and expressive eyes. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and preparing holiday dinners for annual family gatherings. She loved celebrating Christmas and was an active member of the P.T.A. during her children's early schooling. She will be remembered for her never-ending energy for her family, the home she created, and her sweet low southern accent. Aline will be deeply missed by her daughter, Arline Burns Coward; her son, Charles Edward "Chuck" Burns Jr.; sister, Mary Tallent; brother, Archibald "Archie" Worsham; daughter-in-law, Carmen Lee Burns; son-in-law, Charles Corwin Coward; grandchildren, Edward Scott Burns, Anna Coward DePasquale and husband Matthew DePasquale, Carlos Alexander Coward and wife Ariadna Donate Font; family member, Kathy Coward; and friends at Emeritus Senior Living in Westminster, California. Aline will rest in peace with her husband, Charles Edward Burns Sr.; daughter, Charline E. Burns; and son, Charlton Eric Burns at Forest Lawn Cypress.
