Mrs. Mary Burns Begg, wife of William Begg, was born in Iowa December 7th, 1859. She died at her home on the San Julian ranch October 23d, 1911. Mrs. Begg has for years been in poor health and succumbed to an attack of pneumonia. She leaves a husband and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. She came to this valley in 1904. Rev. S. S. White, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the funeral service at Long’s undertaking parlors, after which all that was mortal of Mrs. Begg was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.
