Ann was born in Cambridge, MA to the late Michael and Mary Pazakis, founders of the Riverway Restaurant. She grew up in Yarmouthport, where she graduated from Yarmouth High School. Ann went on to attend Simmons College and earned her degree in Retailing. Ann followed in the family tradition of restaurant ownership when she and her former husband purchased the Weatherdeck Restaurant, which they operated until 1990.
As a Registered Dietitian, Ann later went on to own and operate the Diet Center in Falmouth and Orleans.
Ann was extremely dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending her time with them. She is predeceased by her grandson Charles Birchett and her brother Michael Pazakis. Ann is survived by her three children, John Bush of Hyannis, Sharon Miller of Brewster, Laura Birchett of Harwich and 6 grandchildren, Brad Bergeron of Harwich, Ian Nicholson and his wife Samantha of Dennisport, Jacquelyn Hutton and her husband Adam of Harwich, Kelly Larson and her husband Asa of Dennis, Joey Birchett and Elias Hanson, and 6 great grandchildren.
Ann is also survived by her siblings, Dione McCarty of Caliornia, Rosetto Pazakis and his wife Barbara of South Yarmouth, Albert Pazakis of Harwich, James Pazakis Sr. of Yarmouth, Esther Stochetti and her husband Carlo of Dennis and other extended family.
A graveside service will be held for family members on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Harwich. Friends are all welcomed to join the family to share memories of Ann in a celebration of her life at the Embargo Restaurant, 453 Main Street in Hyannis.
