ABINGTON Stephen John "Steve" Bush, of Abington, formerly of Quincy passed away at Brockton Hospital on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at age 90. Born in Chelsea, NY where he was raised and educated, Steve lived on Union St. in Quincy most of his life. A WWII Army Veteran, he worked as a metal polisher for Quincy Plating Co. and PDM Scrap Metals before retiring. The beloved husband of Josephine "Jay" (Olivieri), he was the loving father of Christine Higgins and Helen Bush, both of Abington, Carol Gedgaudas of Brockton, Joann Bush, James A. Bush and George M. Bush, all of Quincy and the late Stephen J. Bush, Jr. and Peter A. Bush. He is also survived by 10 dear grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his brother Peter Bush of NY and his sister Rose Bendig of NY. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 24 form 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. There will be a Funeral Service conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 p.m. Donations in Steve's name may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 04250-0301 or DAV.org.
