John E. Butler, 80, of Fall River passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Soon-Yi (Bang) Butler. Born in Fall River, he was son of the late James F. and Celia A. (Lancaster) Butler. A Vietnam War veteran, he served his country in the United States Air Force. Including his wife, he is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport. Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
