Alice M. (Butler) Bellofatto, age 77, passed away at South Shore Hospital surrounded by her loving family Thursday, March 14, 2013. Alice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael A. Bellofatto; her children, Joanne Bellofatto of West Roxbury, Mick Bellofatto of Weymouth, James E. Bellofatto and his wife Brenda of Braintree and Matthew P. Bellofatto and his wife Christine of Avon; her grandchildren, Della, Cleo, James, Elizabeth and Mia; and her great-grandson, Mark. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Cassidy) Butler; and the sister of the recently deceased Edward J. Butler. Alice was born in Boston, grew up in Back Bay and lived the last 41 years in Weymouth. She loved and devoted her life to her husband and family. Alice worked at the Fabric Place in Randolph, was an expert knitter and shared her knowledge with many. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. The funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Square), South Weymouth, Monday, March 18, at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral Mass at St. Cecilia Church, 18 Belvidere St., Boston, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment will be private in Forest Hill Cemetery in Boston.
