Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles J. and Mary (Norris) Buzinski.
He was a past president of Diamond Fire Co., Walnutport, and Slatington Fire Co. No. 1.
He was organizer and first president of the Slatington Booster Club and a past president of Slatington Little League Baseball.
Buzinski played for the former Allentown Buccaneers, a semi-professional football team.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater.
Surviving with his widow are five sons, James and Charles V. Jr., both of the Slatington area, William Kern and George Kern, both of Slatington, and John Kern of Allentown; six daughters, Alicia, wife of Darvin Frantz of Point Phillip, Marie, wife of Ron Domsteen in North Dakota, Rosann, wife of Roger Frable, and Cynthia and Lisa Kern, all of Slatington, and Crystal Kern of York; two brothers, Joseph of New York City and Edward of Walnutport; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildr en.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the George M. Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.
