Titled: MORTON IS IN A MUCH BETTER CONDITION
The condition of Constable William Morton, who was shot New Year's Day by Joe "BOOZE" the Polish desperado was much better Monday morning. Although he is not yet out of danger, the doctors are almost sure that he will recover entirely. He is still at August Iske's home in South Second street. He will not be moved until he can sit up without exerting himself.
JOE "BOOZE'S" FUNERAL - The funeral of Joe "Booze", who shot Constable Morton and who was killed by George "Dick" Sullivan, after the officer had deputized him, will take place from St. Stephen's church Tuesday morning by a Polish priest, from Dayton, Ohio. The burial will be in St. Stephen's cemetery
