SAGEBRUSH, N.M.— Services for Adeline Cadman, 88, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel in Gallup. The Rev. Jerry Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Mexican Springs, N.M.

Cadman died April 1, 2010, in Albuquerque. She was born July 1, 1921, in Deer Springs, N.M. into the Edge Water People Clan for the Hairy Zia People Clan.

Cadman went to school at the Gallup Indian Community Center. She was a home maker and enjoyed helping at tradition singings and squaw dances. She was a rug weaver and she herded sheep for people, carding and spinning the wool for people. She was a member of the Senior Citizens at Rock Springs, N.M.

Survivors include her sons Leo Cadman of Kayenta, Allison Manuelito from Yahtahey; daughters Evelyn C. Henderson, Ophelia Cadman, both of Sagebrush; sister Johanna Sherman; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, one brothers Henry, Mike and parents John Billy, Dobekadesbah Billy and Verley Manuelito.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Rock Springs Chapter House, following services.
