Cliphan Cairns was born in Roxburgshire, Scotland in 1802. She married James Baird on May 16, 1837. After they had immigrated to Canada they had two children, James and Mary Ann/Emily, both born in Hinchinbrooke. Cliphan died in 1889, exactly one month after her beloved James.
