Lavern Bell, 78, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her son's home in Odessa. Lavern was born January 15, 1934 in Greenville, Texas to Forrest and Velma Calder. She married Louie Bell January 25, 1950 in Sherman, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1981. Mr. Bell preceded her in death in January of this year. Lavern loved her church and was a past member of the WMU of the Baptist church for many years. She sold home interiors for several years and really enjoyed that. She would argue until you saw things her way, then she loved to switch sides just to keep the discussion going. She is survived by her sons, Steven and wife Donna, Kenneth and wife Michele, Lewis and wife Nancy, Wayman and wife Sandy; nine grandchildren, Tonya, Jason, Michael, Mathew, Kristen, Melinda, Allen, Amanda, Lyndsei; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
