BREAKER Lois Lorene Breaker , age 82, passed away in El Paso, TX on March 23, 2012. She resided in El Paso for the last 62-years. Lois was born to William and Joyce Calhoun in Bisbee, Arizona on August 9, 1929. She moved to El Paso in 1948 to attend the Hotel Dieu Nursing School. After graduating with an RN License, she met the love of her life, James Frederick "Fred" Breaker, who was a patient at the hospital where she nursing. Lois married Fred, her husband of 44-years, in El Paso in 1952. Lois worked in Oral Surgery for Doctors Shaffer and Homan for almost 30-years. She continued to work part-time for a few more years for King's Nursing Service before retiring with her husband. Together, they enjoyed vacationing in their RV, camping, fishing, and collecting various Indian Artifacts. She was a proud member of the "Classy Chassis" Red Hat Society and the Northeast Neighborhood Association. She was also a member of the Bowling Branch YMCA, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends in Jewel's Water Aerobics Class. She felt blessed to have such wonderful friends, neighbors, and nearby relatives. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter Jan and her grandchildren. Lois was a very beautiful lady with a wonderful, loving personality and a great sense of humor. She brought happiness to each person who knew her and had the amazing ability to make friends instantly. She was dearly loved and respected, and will always be remembered and truly missed. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred, who passed away in 1996 and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Jodi MacGillivray and her husband Jim, her brother, BillCalhoun and his wife Kathy, sister-in-law Evelyn Blalock and her husband Charles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois is also survived by her daughter Janis Breaker Hamren and her husband Randy, grandchildren Malcolm Pace, Jennifer Pace, Lindsey Justice, Adam Hamren, and Angela Hamren, and great granddaughter Hailey Farrell. A special thanks to Malori and the Cade family for their love and support. Visitation is scheduled for this Sunday, April 1, 2012, between 5:00PM and 9:00PM at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home (8817 Dyer St). Her funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 11:00AM at Restlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
