On Thursday September 10, 2015, Dorothy Borland completed her circle of life.
Dorothy met the love of her life Hollis Borland in 1936 while working on a cotton farm near Lamesa, Texas. Hollis hoed her row of cotton and it became love forever.
They would marry three years later, spend several years in San Diego during WWII while he served his country and they served each other. They would later move back to Lamesa to farm, eventually making their way to farm near Ropesville to raise their family of three boys that later grew to 40 descendants. They together served their family, church, community and most importantly God.
It would be difficult to find a more caring, compassionate, and considerate wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother or friend than Dorothy.
For nearly 91 short years she was a shining light to everyone she came into contact, hers was a life well lived.
Dorothy loved through hard times and good times, knowing all the while she has a future in eternity with her lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Dorothy joins her previously deceased husband Hollis, son Royce, and great grandson Devon in their heavenly celebration.
Dorothy is survived by
son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Louella Borland,
son and daughter-in-law Glen and Mary Borland, and daughter-in-law Debbie Borland.
