Jetta Lee Abels, 91, a loving wife, mother, "Granny" and sister, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal: 2:30 p.m. at Whitt Cemetery in Whitt. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jetta Lee Calhoun was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Loving and had lived in this area most of her life. She retired from Tandy Leathercraft in the early 1980s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee O.B. "Cowboy" Abels; parents, James A. and Mattie Queen Calhoun; and 10 sisters and brothers.
