He resided at 3 Burlington Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.
He was wounded twice by shrapnel during the war. First in July, 1944 on Guam and a second time on Okinawa in May, 1945.
Daryl was "Killed In Action" on Okinawa during the war.
He was awarded a Purple Heart with three Oak Leaf Clusters.
He was originally interred in the Okinawa Sixth Division Cemetery, Ryukyu Retto and was later repatriated here on March 3, 1949.
