To the memory of
The Reverend John Campbell D.D.
one of the Ministers of the Tolebooth Church Edinburgh
who after faithfully and ably discharging the duties
of the pastoral office for a period of 45 years
22 of which he spent in the Parish of Kippen Sterlingshire
and the remaining 23 in his charge in the city,
departed this life on the 30th August 1828 aged 70 years
also of
Mrs. Jean Kinnear his wife
who died 1st January 1838 aged 67 years
and also
Daniel Campbell their son
who died November 1809 aged six years
