Beverly was born June 7, 1928 in Lincoln, Neb. to Bert and Nettie (Heinz) Carlson. She married Harold Bergeson July 15, 1951 in Brewster, Minn.
She was employed as a clothing consultant for the Doncaster Company for many years.
Beverly was a founding and very active member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. She was the former president of AAUW and a member of the Garden Club. She hosted Grandma Camp on the Wisconsin River where each child was meant to feel like he or she was her favorite.
Survivors include her husband, Harold of Rudolph; four sons, Steven (Lynn) of Fountain Hills, Ariz., David (Gwen) of Eden Prairie, Minn., James (Jody) of Red Wing, Minn., Thomas (Pam) of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Joanne Grimstad of Worthington, Minn., Roberta (Bruce) Timmons of Sioux City, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nattie Mae Kelly
Services will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Kent Raddatz will officiate, with burial in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be at church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
The Higgins Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
