Mrs. Carola was employed as an Accounts Payable Clerk with Van Kel Industries in Edison for 10 years retiring in 2001.
She was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the choir.
Mrs. Carola was a member of The Woodbridge Seniors Billiards Club.
She was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Philomena "Minnie" Cafiero Tarantino.
Surviving are her husband of fifty years Joseph Carola; two daughters Lori Anne Carola of Edison, and Michele Carola Gallo of Bridgewater; a son Joseph C. Carola of Lincoln, Rhode Island; a sister Sabina Modugno of Long Island, NY; two brothers Carl "Sonny" Tarantino of California, and Salvatore Tarantino of Jersey City, NJ; a granddaughter Christina Gallo.
Funeral will take place Saturday, March 15, 2014 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www. Costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A 9:45 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, Avenel. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
