C. Ackiss, died Tuesday, August 27, in a hospital.
A native of Virginia Beach, she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and
Daisy Chain Social and Savings Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Allen of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs.
Marie Haywood of Pennsylvania; a half-sister, Mrs. Aneva Northern of Virginia
Beach; a brother, Walter Manns, and a half-brother, Joseph Grimstead, both of
Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Sunday at 1:15 p.m. in Mt. Olive Baptist Church by
the Rev. Charles Edward Williams. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Hairston
Funeral Home was in charge.
