She was born in Norfolk. She was a retired deli manager and a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Mrs. Woodington is survived by one daughter, Dorothy W. Poczekaj of Moyock; one son, Melville P. Carr of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Josiah H. Woodington Jr. of Virginia Beach and Charles T. Woodington of Suffolk; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, with the Rev. Fred Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, is in charge of arrangements.
