MUNCIE - Mary Helen C. Benavides, 72, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Muncie.
She was born on July 18, 1942 to Atilano and Carrillo in Warren, Indiana.
Mary retired from Borg-Warner in Muncie after twenty years of service.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mary is survived by her sons, Rudy and Richard Benavides and daughter, Sandra Wyatt; brother, Atilano Carrillo, Jr; sisters, Hortencia Gonzales and Ernestine Guerrero; grandchildren, April, Jennifer, Danielle, Robert, David, Amanda, Emily, and Isabel; fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Atilano and Florencia Carrillo; husband, Robert R. Benavides, Sr.; son, Robert Benavides, Jr. and granddaughter, Katie Wyatt; brothers, Lorenzo Carrillo and Manuel Carrillo; sister, Lupe Carrillo.
Services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Dugger officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
