MANCHESTER - Funeral services for Mrs. Violet Helen Beard, age 101, of Manchester will be conducted on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Beard passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Unity Medical Center. Violet was born on May 17, 1917 in Nashville to the late Van and Daisy Carroll. She was a beautician and owned her own beauty shop for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and selling her pies, loved to shop, and paint. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Beard Sr; two brothers; James Bud Carroll, and Leon Carroll. She is survived by one son; Robert Beard Jr. (Carolyn); one daughter, Mary Joyce Tibbs (Larry); five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
