Daisy Brunson, 94, of Durham-Hensley Nursing Home, Chuckey, died Monday evening at Takoma Adventist Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Tom and Lizzie Carson and was preceded in death by two sisters: Mattie Hamilton and Mable
Susong; and two brothers: Leon Carson and Vince Carson.Survivors include a nephew and his wife: Dennis and Linda Hamilton; a niece: Pat Hamilton; a sister-in-law:
Aretta Carson; five great-nieces; and several great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 Friday afternoon at Pruitt Hill United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will follow visitation in the church cemetery. The Rev. William Sills and the Rev. Paul Elmore will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be Dennis Hamilton, Ronnie Merriweather Sr., Ronnie Merriweather Jr., William Combs, and Marcus Cameron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hamilton, Leon Carson, Roy Hamilton, and a number of friends.
