BATTLE-CARTER, Barbara age 82, departed this life on September 2, 2014. Retired from Good Samaritan Hospital after 40 years of service as a Surgical Technician. She leaves to cherish her life, 1 daughter Shirelle, 1 sister Helen Dewberry (Pastor Robert), host of nieces, nephews and friends; special friends Eva Mapp, Dayton, Ohio, Vivian Triggs, Dover, Delaware. She was proceeded in death by her parents Roy Sr. & Mattie Battle, 1 sister Betty Jean Battle, 3 brothers: Roy Jr., Nathaniel J. Sr., Leon C. Battle.

Visitation with family, 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Service 11:30 AM at Woodland Cemetery Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Robert Dewberry officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. HHRoberts.com
