She attended school in Appling County, GA and graduated from Appling County High School.
Rozenia moved to Martin County in 1956 from Georgia after her marriage to Marvin Carter, Sr.
She a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart and served as a member of the Pastor's Aid, Choir, Mission Dept., Culinary Aid and Sunday School Department. She was employed by Zena Leighton for 54 years and retired from the Martin County School District after 13 years of employment.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and a son-in-law, Reverend Mance Wobbleton, Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Deacon Marvin Carter, Sr.; children, Irving King, Marnetta Thomas, Patricia Wobbleton, Marvin Carter, Jr. and Marlet Carter; adopted sons, Willie Edwards, Victor Driver and Earl Bellamy (Donna Lynn); 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lee Solomon and Geraldine Jones and Willie B. Jones of Jesup, GA; brothers, Johnny C. King and Ike Jones; sisters-in-law, Floreatha King, Pauline Leonard (Willie C.), Ruby Duffy and Betty Carter; brothers-in-law, Rodie Rich, Pete Jones and Frank Carter (Shelly); a special aunt, Eula Mae Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other family members and friends, including special friends, Willie Mae Haston, Joann Patterson, Willie Davis, Lilly Wesley, Minnie Jackson, Norma Jean Davis, Nat Lee Johnson, Rosemary Springer, Linda King and Allen Thomas.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart. A "Homegoing Celebration" will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11a at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart with Reverend Larry D. Andrews, Officiating and Reverend James C. Watson is host pastor. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
