Betty C. Waldie, 86, died May 27, 2007, at Hospice of the Treasure Coast in Stuart.

She was born in Polk, Neb., and lived in Port St. Lucie since 1973, coming from Baltimore, Md.

She was a homemaker, member and deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Stuart and a member of the Port St. Lucie Woman's Club.

She also volunteered at Second Sight Museum in Jensen Beach for the Elliott Museum.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Davis of Jacksonville; sons, James R. Waldie III of York, Pa., and David B. Waldie of Port Charlotte; sister, JoAnn Bradford of Jackson, Miss.; brothers, Jack D. Carter of San Rafael, Calif., and Hugh C. Carter of San Diego; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be 1 p.m. June 1 at Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach.
