Kathleen Register Carter Bostwick, known affectionately to most as Kitti, passed away December 15, 2015.

She was the only child of Michael Obed Carter of Wallace, N.C. and Martha Jane Todd of Charlotte, N.C. She graduated from Appalachian University in Boone, N.C. with a B.S. in Education. She taught in City Schools of Charlotte, N.C. and Jacksonville, Florida. She married her soul mate, Attorney William Cowan Bostwick, on July 13, 1963, and became Mom to her heart child, William Cowan Val Bostwick, Jr. On October 30, 1964, Barbara Valerie Bostwick was born and on October 14, 1969, Karl Eric Carter Bostwick was born.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Catherine Rogers, Evan Rogers (Barbara); Amanda Bostwick, Lauren Bostwick and Grace Bostwick (Carter); and extended family. She was active in many social circles and clubs. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) Martha Reed Chapter 19, where she served as President.

The visitation will be held on Monday, December 28th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, at 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel and interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association in Florida, 6852 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
