COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Elise Adams, 79, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smellage Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 16, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Elise departed from this life on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 30, 1934, in Gainesboro to the late Ed Carter and Lena Kirby.
Mrs. Adams retired after 27 years of service with C&M Clothing.
Her family includes her son, Gary Adams of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Joanna Adams of Gainesboro and Jimmy Adams of Cookeville; three great grandchildren, Austin, Maggie and Shelby Adams; a sister, Judy (Jeff) Urfer of Nashville; her nephews and nieces, Kenny Rippetoe, Kathy Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Tanner Dunn and Jessica Urfer; and special friends, George and Betty McCormick and Phyllis Julian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Walter Adams; one brother, Glenda Carter; and one sister Nellie Rippetoe.
Bro. Frank Davis will officiate at the services.
