BAXTER -- Funeral services for Neioda Chelsie Anderson, 81, of Baxter will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. from the Baxter chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Brothers Bryant White and Ernest Abston will officiate.

Mrs. Anderson died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998 at NHC Health Care in Sparta.

She was born May 19, 1917 in Dekalb County to the late Grover and Mary Alice Johnson Carter. She was a postal clerk with the U.S. Post Office.

Her family includes two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and John Martin of Baxter, and Linda and Rellon Jones of Silver Point; three sisters, Oneda Medley of Centerline, Mich., Nelle Loggins of Nashville and Frankie Mathews of Lady Lake, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Martin, Jeremiah Jones, Eric Cherry, Tony Dix, Charles Dix and Hank Loggins.

The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today at the Baxter chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home.
