Rena Ann married Wilbur L. "Bill" Banks in Arkansas on Nov. 26, 1939.
The couple moved to California in 1944, and she served as a faithful minister's wife as he preached for churches of Christ in California, Oregon and Nebraska for over 50 years.
They lived in Oakhurst from 1980 to 1997, and celebrated their 58th anniversary in 1997.
She loved flowers and birds, and was known for her beautiful flowers and her "green thumb."
She enjoyed making crafts for gifts, and was a decorating consultant with Home Interiors and Gifts for several years.
She was dedicated to and beloved by her family, and is survived by her children, Patricia Banks and husband Joel Coppinger of Visalia, daughter-in-law, Anne Whitehead Banks Clark of Lincoln, Neb., Phyllis Banks and husband Ken Green of Oakhurst and Rebecca Banks and husband Richard Bullough of Hanford; sister, Myrtle Baxter of Batesville, Ark.; grandchildren, Marcia, Monica, Cynthia, Priscilla, Stephen, Lora, Daniel, Michael, Melinda, Erin Joy, and Bethany; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Christin, Chesley, Clara, Cambria, Courtney, Christina, Jordan, Zachary, Caleb and Madison and one great-great-grandson, Raine.
She was preceded in death by her son James C. "Jim" Banks in 1991; sister, Eula West in 1995 and by her husband in 1998.
Services were previously held July 20, at the church of Christ, Hanford.
Burial was at the Visalia District Cemetery. Arrangements were by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
