Born April 4, 1925, in Oceanside, she lived in Oceanside all her life. She was employed as a business license inspector by the city of Oceanside and retired in August 1981. She was a member of St. Mary's in Oceanside and Beta Sigma Phi, and YLI Club.
Mrs. Atos was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Magee, in May 2004. She is survived by husband of 42 years, George R. Atos, of Oceanside; daughter-in-law Toni Atos of Oceanside; daughter Constance Costanzo of Glendora; brothers James S. Carter and Duane Carter, both of Long Beach; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recitation at 7 p.m. Monday, July 9, at Eternal Hills Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at St. Mary Star of the Sea. Interment is at Eternal Hills Memorial Park following the service. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
