Passed Away This Morning
Mrs. Mary L. Casement passed away suddenly at five o'clock this morning at her home on Wood St.
Recovering from a severe illness last spring, Mrs. Casement had been enjoying unusual good health until Monday evening when she was stricken with an attack of heart failure and simply went to sleep.
Mrs. Casement was born in the home in which she passed away and has always loved this city. She was a woman of great culture and her charities were broad and manifold. An excellent musician herself, she was especially fond of good music and was ever ready to further the cause of this art.
To know Mrs. Casement was to love her and Painesville is the poorer in her passing.
Mrs. Casement was a devout member of the St. James Protestant Episcopal Church and gave generously of her time, talents and money to her church. She is survived by one son, Mr. Gray Casement; three sisters, Mrs. George Reis, of Duluth, Minnesota, Mrs. S. K. Gray of Riverside, Illinois, and Mrs. Frances Armstrong of Cincinnati; two brothers, E. Chester Lockwood St. Louis, Mo. and Henry Lockwood, Chicago, Ill.
Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made and will be published later.
