Dorcas Anderson

Dorcas Anderson, 82, of Parkersburg, died May 15, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born Nov. 7, 1919 in Jackson County, W.Va. a daughter of the late George and Margaret Carl Casto. Mrs. Anderson worked at Cox's Department Store and attended Edgelawn United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Charles E. Anderson of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Charlotte Anderson of Virginia, Michelle Anderson of Indiana and Sheila Anderson of Tennessee; one sister, Olevia Rains of Ripley; and a special friend and caretaker, Cindy Miller of Parkersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles H. Anderson; one son, Keith Anderson; one infant daughter, Anna Marie Anderson; one sister; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen South Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
