On last Sunday morning at her home in Lander, Mrs. Elizabeth Battrum sank into that sleep that knows no wakening after an illness extending over several weeks. The deceased is one of the real pioneers of this western country having been born near Ogden, Utah, sixty-one years ago and having lived her life in the mountain region. The remains were laid to rest in the Lander cemetery on Wednesday, Father Keavey officiating.
